na mamara pita tasya

 vipra-deva-prasadatah

yuvanasvo ’tha tatraiva

 tapasa siddhim anvagat

 

Translation by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada: 

 

Because Yuvanasva, the father of the baby, was blessed by the brahmanas, he did not fall a victim to death. After this incident, he performed severe austerities and achieved perfection in that very spot.
