ramah samudra-velayam

 yogam asthaya paurusam

tatyaja lokam manusyam

 samyojyatmanam atmani

 

Translation: 

 

Lord Balarama then sat down on the shore of the ocean and fixed Himself in meditation upon the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Merging Himself within Himself, He gave up this mortal world.
