tato ratha-dvipa-bhata-sadi-nayakaih
karalaya parivrta atma-senaya
mrdanga-bhery-anaka-sankha-gomukhaih
praghosa-ghosita-kakubho nirakramat
Translation:
As the vibrations resounding from mrdangas, bheris, kettledrums, conchshells and gomukhas filled the sky in all directions, Lord Krsna set out on His journey. He was accompanied by the chief officers of His corps of chariots, elephants, infantry and cavalry and surrounded on all sides by His fierce personal guard.
