maricir manasas tasya
jajñe tasyapi kasyapah
daksayanyam tato ’dityam
vivasvan abhavat sutah

From the mind of Lord Brahma, Marici took birth, from the semen of Marici, Kasyapa appeared, and from Kasyapa, by the womb of Daksa’s daughter Aditi, Vivasvan took birth.
